The MERLOT Africa Network (MAN) is a network of African higher education institutions and international organizations working collaboratively with MERLOT partner institutions to share open educational resources, to support faculty and students at Africa’s higher education institutions effective use of e-learning resources and to conduct research and scholarship on the best practices in the teaching and learning with electronic resource within Africa’s education environments and communities.

OER Africa is an initiative of the South African Institute for Distance Education. SAIDE and MERLOT will be working together to expand access and use of African authored open educational resources and leverage our communities to support the improvement of teaching and learning with technology.

INCTR is a non-profit international organization whose mission is to assist in controlling cancer in developing countries through the development of infrastructure for cancer treatment and research. INCTR emphasizes international collaboration and works to improve communication among the wide range of professionals and volunteers working to control cancer throughout the world. Because of its emphasis on communication and collaboration, INCTR recognizes the critical role for a range of e-learning tools and plans to constantly increase its use of web-based educational materials and the provision, electronically and in hard copy, of information relevant to cancer control. INCTR has partnered with MERLOT to develop and maintain the Open Educational Resources for Cancer (OERC) portal.

The University of Lucknow, California State University Long Beach, and MERLOT are collaborating to create and evaluate a pilot for developing Open Educational Resources (OER) as a means for efficiently transforming teacher preparation and faculty professional development within both locally- and globally-conditioned contexts.

IPB is a private institution of higher education governing the organization and functioning of higher education in Rwanda. The vision of the I.P.B is to become a regional center of radiation and expertise essential to the durable socio-economic development while preserving a healthy environment for the generations present and future in the spirit of the motto "Educatio, Scientia, Ministeria" (Education, Science, Services). IPB opened officially and solemnly its doors on January 26, 2006, with one faculty: the "Faculty of Social Sciences, Management and Development Studies". Upon the recommendation of the Board of the National Council for higher Education and on the basis of the Law No 24/2013 of 24/05/2013 governing the organization and functioning of higher education, IPB has been granted to start the faculty of Education since May 2013.

CIEC (Community for Innovation of Education and learning through Computers and communication networks) is an organization that thinks about ways and possibilities of using computers in the fields of education and research. It was established in June, 1996 and registered as an academic research organization in Science Council of Japan on September 14, 1999. CIEC is an organization where educators, researchers, students and who support education and research collaborate with and learn from each other.

Osaka Kyoiku University – As one of Japan’s learning teacher training universities, Osaka Kyoiku University’s mission is to contribute to the development of education and culture, as well as the welfare of the local community and the world, particularly through the training of capable human resources in the field of education.

AAPT was established in 1930 with the fundamental goal of ensuring the "dissemination of knowledge of physics, particularly by way of teaching." OER Research Hub gathers research on the impact of open educational resources (OER) on learning and teaching practices. Our intention is to respond to a need from the OER world for more research on which they can base their decisions.

QM is an international organization representing broad inter-institutional collaboration and a shared understanding of online course quality. QM's quality assurance processes have been developed to improve and certify the design of online and blended courses. Academic, government, and education-related organizations use the tools in developing, maintaining and reviewing their online courses and in training their faculty.

The goals of Thai Cyber University are to assist all the higher education institutes to deliver distance learning via the Internet; to ensure that all online courses are of a high quality and meet government standards and to promote the sharing of teaching resources and human resources.
